Huseyin signs Pro Contract

A massive congratulations to our FSA pro Scholar from London Huseyin Biler, who has signed his first professional contract with AFC Wimbledon.

Huseyin signed a 2-year scholarship with our academy and was immediately offered a 2-year deal with the League One side after impressing during the pre-season.

Today we caught up with a our International Program Director Mark Smith on the young full backs promising career.

“Huseyin came into our academy with every intention to work hard and get a scholarship offer from a professional set up early. We knew there was interest in him and he was coming from an academy background, I never knew how early that offer would come. Within the pre-season, AFC Wimbledon had offered him a 2 year scholarship, however, he would stay with us during that time and complete his education. A deal was struck with their academy staff that Huseyin would be available to play for us during breaks or quieter times, but that was never the case as he impressed the academy staff so much that he was used very frequently and even had spells with the first team. Huseyin is a fantastic kid with a huge potential, and I knew he was with the right club with a proven record in giving youngsters a clear pathway into first team football and other opportunities. It’s a huge credit to the academy staff of AFC Wimbledon and I want to thank Michael Hamilton, James Oliver-Pearce, Mark Robinson and Rob Tuvey for their efforts with him. It’s not the first time a player from our academy has gone into that club and been given every opportunity to succeed with spells in the first team and I’m hopeful he won’t be the last.”

We also caught up with the young full back and passed on our congratulations from everyone involved at Fox Soccer Academy.

“Thank you everyone. Mark I really appreciate it and I appreciate you taking me on with the educational side. You all have helped me and I am humbled, you have been nothing but great to me so thank you very much."

We look forward to following Huseyin’s career over the next year with AFC Wimbledon and wish him every success in football.

Thanks for sharing this article. Football is a sport where not only your strengths and abilities are used but also your fitness. When you play football you may fall on the ground and your knee got injured. I suggested a website that provides guidelines on different knee pads that are useful for you while playing football.
