On Saturday, December 17th, we all witnessed a historic day at Hudson Sports Complex & Fox Soccer Academy, as we delivered the world's first-ever “Goalie Wars Extreme” event!
With over 50 goalkeepers competing from around the Tri-State area, we took the famous game of goalie wars and modified it to have three goalkeepers competing at once instead of two……..making it completely and utterly extreme.
With a U-10, U-12, U-14, and U-18 age bracket for this event, there were a total of four winners at the end of the day. The four winners of the inaugural “Goalie Wars Extreme” not only got to feel the roar and cries of the spectators but they also went home with an inspirational prize; Signed jerseys from New York Red Bulls & Charlotte FC goalkeepers: Carlos Coronel & Kristijan Kahlina.
There were tons of amazing saves, shots, reflexes, and creativity shown by our contestants this weekend that really inspired everyone who was on site. It wasn’t hard for our goalkeepers to find inspiration throughout the day, as they had a pretty cool fan watching them from start to finish……..Leicester & Austrian football legend, Christian Fuchs!
